1st Student Conference on Literatre: Identity
The Department of English Language and Literature at Doğuş University is pleased to announce
1st Student Conference on Literature exploring the theme of “identity” in literature and related
fields. We warmly invite submissions for this academic event, held on October 2nd, 2026.
In a time when personal, political, and collective identities are increasingly debated, literature
offers valuable insight into how individuals and communities define themselves and are defined
by others. From classic works to contemporary texts, stories often serve as a medium in which
questions of race, gender, sexuality, nationality, class, and belonging are negotiated and
reimagined.
This conference seeks to foster an inclusive academic environment for students to share their ideas,
develop their research, and engage in discussions about identity and representation. The conference
is open to all 3rd- and 4th-year undergraduate and postgraduate students in literature or related
