Dear Participants,
This year, the symposium's scope was expanded to emphasize the significance of the concepts of “Belt and Road Initiative”, and sustainability. The title of the symposium has been decided as ‘‘4th International Symposium on Sustainable Logistics, Belt and Road Initiative ". The symposium will be held in Mersin, Turkey on June 06-07, 2024,online sessions hosted by Toros University Faculty of Economics, Administrative, and Social Sciences, Department of International Trade and Logistics. Moreover, Toros University will be in cooperation with L'Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA), Jean Monnet Center of Excellence on Sustainability (ERASME), Lazarski University, Birmingham City University (BCU), The University of Tokyo (UTokyo), and Turkish Logistics Association (LODER).
The symposium's theme has been determined as "Belt and Road Initiative," which alludes to the whole geographical region of the "Silk Road," an ancient trade route. It aims to enhance supply chain and logistics systems by using fairer, inclusive, sustainable, and environmentally friendly strategies. Furthermore, it is intended not only to debate priorities for effective resource use for all nations in the geographical area, but also to submit research and solution recommendations that will serve as a model for the rest of the globe.
In this context, the symposium, with the major theme of " Belt and Road Initiative " aims to reveal the most recent developments in logistics and all possible effects of this approach from a sustainability perspective. Additionally, this symposium will feature current research, applications, and scientific studies in various disciplines, all of which will help the development of sector activities. Thus, through researching global and regional issues, collaborative solution methods will be established, as will professional and social communication and collaboration among stakeholders. Besides professional and social communication and collaboration among stakeholders, collaborative solution methods will be established through researching global and regional issues.
